Pickrell Pirates

Well everone ELSE was doing it, so I guess we ought to as well! Actually I was checking out Becky's blog and saw how many others were keeping in touch with their blogs. What a wonderful idea! So anyway,... I'm going to bore you with my news too! Whoo hoo!

Chicago Trip

I've been having a rather difficult time with computers lately. But since I'm at my mom's right now I thought I'd update my blog.

Krista and I had a chance to go to Chicago this last Spring Break. It was a lot of fun. People down south are crazy (and sometimes really rude). I would like to go back to Chicago some time, but the rest of it, they can keep!

This is Krista with her amazing niece, Autumn. She's only shy of 8 months in this picture. She's such an awesome baby. We would have totally kidnapped her if we could have gotten by Krista's mother.

The architecture in Chicago was quite amazing. I now understand how tourist can just stand in the middle of the street and look around. The buildings are so tall that they pretty much blot out the sun. There were a couple of spots that I swear I've seen on "Due South." I think it's pretty cool that I've walked where Benton Fraiser did!

We went to the House of Sell-outs...oops, I mean Blues. I was on "a mission from gawd" to get my husband a Blues Brothers hat. I did him one better. I not only got him a hat, but a shirt and a hamonica (aw... what we do for the men we love). I also had a very beautiful and yummy desert of banana bread pudding.

It was a great time. Krista and I discovered that conceirges rule! On the way back, we figured that the airport security people had probably the most thankless jobs, especially at 5 o'clock in the morning. So instead of being the Blues Brothers, we decided to be the Joy Sisters and get a smile or two. And what do you know, we were successful.

Chicago is a fun place! I definitely would go back there if I had the opportunity! Krista's niece is so cute. I can't believe she has sooo much hair. Hannah is almost 8 months and she doesn't have any hair. hehe
